Inchcape Uruguay welcomes mechanics students to strengthen their professional development

A group of 20 female students visited the facilities of a mechanic workshop of our company to experience first-hand its operation, focusing also on Personal Protective Equipment and safety.
Recently, 20 students from the Basic Mechanics Course for Women, provided by Casa de la Mujer in collaboration with the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IMEFOP), visited Uruguay.
The main objective of this initiative was to enrich their professional training. To this end, a special tour of a mechanical workshop of our operation was organised, so that the students could experience ‘in situ’ the dynamics and functioning of the workshop.
Workers from the Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles workshops participated in the activity, showing the services in progress and sharing their knowledge of tools and procedures, focusing on the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety at work.
This action is part of Inchcape Americas’ commitment to promote the technical education of women, providing opportunities for their incorporation into the mobility industry.
