We believe that diverse perspectives fuel innovation and we are committed to creating a workplace that attracts and develops a diverse workforce. This certification recognises our inclusive approach to flexible work arrangements, parental leave, leadership culture, and family care and wellbeing standards.
Colin Christie, Managing Director Inchcape Australasia, said: “At Inchcape, our core values of inclusion, diversity and equity drive us to build a culture where the diverse family and caring responsibilities of our colleagues are celebrated and supported.
“We are proud that this has been recognised through the Family Inclusive Workplace certification as we join the ranks of leading organisations recognised for their commitment to inclusivity.”
Teresa Shepherd, People Director Inchcape Australasia, said: “Achieving the Family Inclusive Workplace Certification is a significant milestone for us. It reflects Inchcape’s dedication to creating a workplace culture where all employees, regardless of their personal family and caring responsibilities, can achieve their best.”
What is the Family Inclusive Workplace Certification?
The Family Inclusive Workplace Certification represents a partnership between UNICEF Australia and Parents at Work who, alongside 23 founding and supporting partner organisations, have come together to develop a set of National Work and Family Standards. The certification is a social impact measurement tool and provides a score and recommendations to help businesses measure the impacts of their culture of inclusion on staff across the business.
Family Inclusive Workplaces strive to reduce tension between work and family by embedding and promoting policies and practices that genuinely support employees to thrive both at work and at home. The Family Inclusive Workplace certification recognises Inchcape Australia as one that actively enables every person to feel valued and supported, particularly those with caring responsibilities. This commitment to Inclusion and Diversity allows us to generate the broadest breadth in contribution, ideas and thinking, driving business performance.
