Inchcape’s Sandwich Making Session in Support of Eat Up Australia
We recently held Inchcape’s inaugural sandwich-making session in support of Eat Up Australia, a charity whose mission is alleviating food insecurity among children in Australia. Our goal was simple: to provide nourishing lunches for children in our community, empowering their physical and mental growth.
The event saw an incredible turnout, with Head Office team members gathering to surpass our targets. Although Eat Up’s initial benchmark for a 60-minute session was 1,000 sandwiches, driven by the Inchcape spirit we embraced the challenge wholeheartedly and, to our immense delight, produced a staggering 1,204 sandwiches, swiftly utilising all available bread within the hour!
Beyond the significant impact on addressing food insecurity in our community, it was a collaborative and fun team-building session with each participant playing a vital role, whether assembling, wrapping, transporting, supplying, or organising—creating an engaging and fulfilling experience for all involved.
Our support for Eat Up Australia resonates deeply with Inchcape’s commitment to ‘Driving What Matters.’ By actively contributing to our community and championing a brighter future for children facing food insecurity, our team exemplifies our dedication to being a force for good. Congratulations to our exceptional team for breathing life into our commitment and making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, helping ensure that every child has the sustenance they need to thrive, learn, and succeed.
