Subaru Australia Sets New Record: Its Highest Altitude Test Drive Experience In Australia

Subaru Australia is set to achieve a new milestone by offering its highest altitude test drive experience in Australia at Perisher Ski Resort.

Subaru Australia is set to break new ground with the launch of its test drive experience at Perisher Ski Resort. This exciting milestone will coincide with the grand opening of the very first Subarista Café at Blue Cow, adding a unique and vibrant brand touchpoint to the snow festivities.

Hosted by the knowledgeable team at High Country Subaru, the test drives will be available from 10am – 2pm during the NSW school holiday weekends (July 6-7 and July 13-14), starting from Bullocks Flat. This offers an exclusive opportunity to experience the performance and capability of Subaru vehicles in the Alpine Region, known for its ever changing and often challenging environment and driving conditions.

This innovative initiative highlights the brand’s confidence in demonstrating the excellent performance of Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive in Subaru AWD Country.

Subaru Australia’s Head of Brand, Trent Whitechurch, said: “The idea to offer test drives at Perisher was inspired by the varied terrain capability of Subarus, especially features like Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode.

“It provides a unique opportunity for snow goers to experience driving a Subaru in an environment that frequently presents some of Australia’s more demanding road conditions.”

The test drive experience will coincide with the official opening of the Subarista Café at the top of Blue Cow. The café will incorporate various Subaru retailer elements, including internal and external Subaru branding plus touchscreen advertising with a ‘build your own Subaru’ function. Staff will also don Subaru branded aprons, and special beverages will pay tribute to Subaru.

Additionally, to celebrate the 2024 snow season and Subaru Australia’s partnership with Australian snowfields, Perisher, Hotham and Falls Creek, the annual Subaru Snow Fest competition returns. Participants will have the chance to win an unforgettable snow adventure for five people in Subaru AWD Country, worth over $60,000*. The prize comprises:

  • Six nights’ accommodation at your choice of Perisher Valley Hotel (NSW), St Falls Resort (VIC), or the Subaru Alpine Retreat at Hotham (VIC). The prize must be taken from August 1st to 7th, 2025 (inclusive).
