World Day for Safety and Health and Work
At Inchcape, the safety and health of our employees is an integral part of our core values. We are proud of the health and safety culture within Inchcape that is supported by robust systems and continuous training programs.
Inchcape supports World Day for Safety and Health at Work which aims to promote the prevention of occupational accidents, highlight the magnitude of the problem, and to raise awareness of how promoting and creating a safety and health culture can help reduce the number of work-related deaths and injuries.
To recognise World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we’re sharing some thoughts from our employees about the safety and health culture at Inchcape.
“We’re always looking to improve by using examples from both within our global business and the wider industry in applying best practice in an effort to keep all of our staff safe.”
“If I look back, HSE was once regarded as the responsibility of management. It’s evolved now to be widely ingrained into every staff member and each and every person takes an active role, not only in their own safety but that of their colleagues as well.”
“I can say with confidence that we should be proud of what we have achieved as a team and a company…a standout to me has been our ability, through consistent processes and communication, to reduce our staff injuries significantly to towards zero harm and minimal lost time.”
“I notice the continuous drive to do better and be better safety wise – an example is our safety talks. Sometimes even if you think the subject is irrelevant to you at the time, safety conversations have proven to me to be useful in the future to either help me or even help someone else
